Upload WeChat history to a new iPhone with chat log migration
WeChat has the feature that allows us to migrate chat history through its migration feature, now we’ll see how to do it.
Firstly, we’ll need to sync the chat log to WeChat server, it can help us keep those data for 7 days.
Then open your WeChat on new iPhone with same ID and password, go to Me--Setting--General--Chat Log Migration--Select Chat Transcript--select the files you need or select all to choose all those chat history, tap on “Done”, then it’ll be ok.
Upload WeChat chat history to a new iPhone with iTunes
We can also backup WeChat chat history on iTunes, then restore them to new iPhone.
Launching your iTunes, connect old iPhone with PC, click iPhone image icon. Go to Files--Summary, then click “Backup Now” on the right page and confirm with “Backup”.
When finish backup, connect your new iPhone with PC. Go to Files--Summary again, then you can see all your backup files list on the left side bar, click “Restore Backup” on the right page, and confirm with “Restore”.
Upload WeChat chat history to a new iPhone with iCloud
We can also use iCloud to transfer WeChat chat history from old iPhone to new iPhone, see below steps.
Connect your old iPhone with Wifi, go to Setting--iCloud, log in it with your Apple ID and password, then you can turn on iCloud server, tap on “Backup”, and confirm with “Backup Now”.
When finish backup, log in iCloud with same Apple ID and password on your new iPhone, go to Setting--General--Erase all content and settings, when all content and settings are erased, go to set up assistant with a hello screen.
Swipe to begin the set up progress, choose the files you need, tap on “Restore Backup”, and confirm with “Restore”.
